website designCreating an online business from scratch entails a lot of essential factors right before it could appear presentable to the market and to the customers. Among the most evident from them is usually the entire design of the site given that it will be the first thing visitors could see the moment they’ve come across your site. Taking into account such factor, it is a very important thing to know that the website design for your business is indeed an integral factor which you should keep focus on aside from the other ones. Usually, some sites would tend to change their website design a few months or weeks right after receiving a high bounce rate on their analytics which could be cause by certain issues such as poor navigation, slow page loading, flashy images and the likes. If ever forgotten, this could lead to a decline in the amount of visitors, increase in bounce rate, and failure of the online business in the near end.

With that said, it would be best to know the essential factors in creating a website design by which visitors could be able to navigate the site quickly and easily, take no more worries about the flashy banners and graphics, and at the same time, keep engaged within your business webpage.

Easy and Quick Navigation

When doing a design for your online business, keep in mind that you will actually be showcasing them not just to a hundred of individuals but to thousands or even tens of thousands of prospects and visitors around the web. For that main reason, making your site’s navigation fairly easy and quick could indeed add up to the overall design of your blog. One of the reasons why people are leaving your website is that they didn’t actually find what they are looking for. And mostly this is due to poor navigation that webmasters have offered to them. If you try to take a look at Sony’s website, you could see to it that the upper navigation almost contains all of the important categories and topics that a particular customer will actually be looking for. With such quick and easy navigation at hand, you are by no means giving your visitors and prospects, the hassle in looking for the information and page they want which could usually cause them to not go back to your site.

Clear and Consistent Fonts and Contents

Know your fonts and be more professional. When making contents for your online business, you have to go for a more professional font which can be clearly seen by your prospects and could also add up to the overall design rating of your business website as well. Just keep in mind not to use Comic Sans though (many people hate it for some reasons…) Also, consider the size of the font you will be using. Is it too big or too small for them to read? Weigh things over. If you think it’s way too big, reduce it. If too small, then add up some size.

Brings an Impression that will Last

Your website will be the basis of who and what your business is as well as the types of products and/or services you are offering to your prospects. Usually first time visitors often think of the following things upon arrival on your business website:

1. Is the design professional enough?
2. Can I be able to find what I really need?
3. Is this the right one to help me out?
4. Does it have a solid reputation?
5. Can I trust it?

Right before concluding a website design, it is essential to ask the following to yourself first. Actually, almost every individual who came across a first ever seen website asks some or all of these questions beforehand. So, why won’t you? With this, you will be able to know which is the best and perfect design and at the same time give your first time visitors the impression they like that will truly last.

Removing Unnecessary Animations and Graphics

While it might be true that flash animations and graphics could catch someone’s attention, putting in too much of them could be a distraction for your visitors. Apart from that, your site could take quite some time to finish loading which is a critical factor you should take note of that can bore your visitors thus leaving your site with a high bounce rate. Also, a lot of internet users came from mobiles, and sad to say, they are not supported with Flash and that is indeed detrimental for your site’s traffic.

Lastly, you have to take note that the design you are having for your online business can be accessible across several platforms and browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

Anyway, what can you suggest for a more credible and exceptional website design? Please leave your insightful comments below. Thanks

You’re right about the last part. Some people have this mindset that more eye candy can make people come back to your site, but that’s not always the case. The graphics that you think are attractive may even be the cause of your high bounce rate. You should only put what’s relevant, and you should make it a good experience for your visitors when they visit your site.
